Meredith LaPiraMeredith LaPira – President, Co-OwnerMeredith has 18 years experience in the Healthcare staffing industry. Meredith has had a successful career as a senior business development consultant with one of the largest providers of Healthcare staffing in the U.S. Starting Home Care Assistance was a direct result of caring for my own elderly Grandfather. My experience exposed me to the challenges that seniors and their families face when deciding on care options as they age. 89% of seniors prefer to age at home and I feel we provide the best solution for in home care. Home Care Assistance’s mission is to Change the Way the World Ages by allowing seniors to Live Well at home through our Unique Balanced Care Method. “I am so happy to have the opportunity to share this approach with both the caregivers and seniors of our South Florida communities.” Meredith is in charge of daily operations as well as the oversight of 100% client and family Satisfaction. She resides in Boynton Beach Florida with her Husband and two children.
Harriet E. PortoHarriet E. Porto – Marketing / Co-OwnerHarriet has 35 years of marketing, public relations, community outreach and management experience. A good deal of that time was spent in the architectural industry in the U.S. and a move to northern Italy in the late 1990’s led to involvement in American related community affairs and a leadership role in Americans in Milan which is part of the Benvenuto Clubs International covering western Europe. She brings strong motivational skills and experience in building strategic alliances amongst the public and government sectors of business. “As a senior myself, I have become more aware of the challenges facing the aging population and can not only identify with our clients but am motivated to encourage and support them in Living their best life. I’m also excited about working with our exceptional caregivers who give so much to so many”. Harriet is married; has two daughters, one stepson and five grandchildren.
Kendra PhillipsKendra Phillips – Administrative AssistantKendra is currently pursuing a degree in Health Services Administration and has experience working in the health care and child care field. Kendra’s genuine love for helping people is what drives her commitment in demonstrating our mission of Changing the Way the World Ages. Kendra’s awareness of the desires and complexities seniors face as they age gives her a deep appreciation of the importance of enabling seniors to truly enjoy life while ensuring their health and safety needs are met. Kendra is responsible for making our office run as smoothly as possible and is the caring voice you hear when calling our office. Kendra is originally from Brooklyn, New York, but has resided in Pembroke Pines, Florida for the past 14 years. Growing up Kendra has spent much of her time being involved in youth leadership programs and community service projects.
